Jason Aldean

This weeks Scrap Whispers challenge was to do a monochromatic LO. So I did grey. Yes there is a bit of blue, but I couldn't leave the tickets off and it's not my fault they put an orange heart on the middle of the grey one, LOL. I used a sketch from Let's Scrap. It worked out so great for these concert photos. I didn't get the best shots of the stage, the lighting made it really difficult so cropping the pictures down was just what they needed.

I'm done

This was my very last Disney picture to scrap. It took me 7 months to scrap them and I enjoyed every minute of it. They were the easiest pictures to scrap. The bright colors and fun images sent me into paper heaven. Other than embellishments I did not use any actual Disney themed paper. There were so many great papers that worked so well with them. I used a lot of Bo Bunny lines. The colors and patterns like the one above have been fabulous for my photos! This is the newest sketch from Creative Scrappers.

Pink and purple at Christmas

It's nice to have some photos from Christmas that I can get away from the traditional Christmas colors and themes. These pictures are from Christmas morning. Autumn was sharing all her presents with her new kitty. I used another great sketch from Creative Scrappers.

Use those Stamps

This weeks Last Scrapper Standing challenge is to use 3 different ways of stamping. Not an easy challenge for me. I have lot's of stamps, of course buying them thinking of all the cute things I can do with them, but never using them. So on this LO I stamped the background pp with a circle stamp, stamped the title on cardstock and cut it out, and then stamped vellum and used it as an embellishment. I used a sketch from the Scrappiest.

Dig into that stash

I was very good. About a week ago I went through and weeded out a lot of my paper. I didn't really have a choice because either some had to go or I had to buy another paper holder, which I don't really have room for. So my kids gained a lot more craft paper for their stash. While weeding through I found a lot of paper that I'd forgotten about. I just love this sketch from the Scrappiest and it was perfect for this little bit of paper I had left from this old scenic route line. This is my daughter meeting Terence. Her aunt had to hold her for the pictures because for some reason she was scared of Terence, when just a few minutes earlier she had been grinning ear to ear from meeting Tinkerbell.

Can you tell?

Can you tell this is 2 pictures? I'm sure many of you have kids that don't cooperate when you want them to. Mine are pros at this. I so wanted a picture of the boys standing on either side of this sign near the Pirates of the Caribbean ride, but they both got big attitudes and the two half way decent pictures I had kept cutting one of them off since I was so frustrated trying to get the shot. So I cut the end off one picture and layered the other one in to get both boys in. Then a little trimming of the edges and some ric rac along the bottom to hide a small gap and voila, one picture. I used a sketch from the Scrappiest.

How Sweet It Is

I just love this photo of Autumn sitting in Dumbo. I wanted to get all 3 of the kids together, but how often do 3 kids ever cooperate. Autumn insisted on having one all by herself. It ended up working out really well for scrapping because the boys red shirts wouldn't have blended well with the other colors. I used a sketch from Creative Scrappers.

Design Team Challenge

I thought I would try my hand at this months Sketchy Thursday Design Team Challenge. The challenge is to use the given sketch as well as yellow in the LO and a hand made embellishment. The yellow was easy since Pooh was yellow but trying to put in a handmade embellie was a bit more difficult since I wanted to use so many of the chipboard embellishments that came with the Cosmo Cricket Garden Variety Line. I ended up cutting stars out of the pp and layering them partially behind the Hi in the title.

Christmas in July

I was doing good for awhile catching up on my Christmas photos and then I got burned out and haven't touched them in awhile. So it's back to it with new inspirations. I used a sketch from Creative Scrappers for this LO of my son Austin at the annual Christmas parade.

I won

It really makes my day to find out I won in a challenge. I just found out I won last weeks drawing over at Sketchy Thursday. Thanks so much Diana for your great sketches. This is another LO I did with this weeks sketch.

LSS

I wanted to share with you one of the LO's I've done for the Last Scrapper Standing Contest. I didn't make it to week four, but I'll still be playing along for fun. The last challenge was to use white space and I'm not very good with that. I love for my pages to be covered!

I'm Back

I have actually been doing a lot of scrapping lately, but just haven't been able to get anything on here due to time issues. This summer is flying by and we've been busy busy. Went to the beach last week and we are going to Six Flags this week. I've also been participating in Memorable Seasons Last Scrapper Standing contest. I've made it past the first 2 rounds and am waiting for the results of round 3. Will post those LO's later, they are some of my favorites. This is a LO I did using a Sketchy Thursday sketch.
