Welcome to my last workout as a Fit Girl. I've enjoyed my term at Scrap Fit and look forward to seeing the wonderful creations the new team brings. For my last reveal we have "the simple things" Well that is not too hard for me because I lead quite a simple life and enjoy all the little things of each day. I chose to do a LO about the kids enjoying sledding in the snow.

One of my many New Years resolutions was to get through these photos in my box so I can order more. So I've been scrapping like crazy so far. I've finished Easter and all the snow photos and am now moving on to a lot of the miscellaneous ones. I've done 14 LO's already since the beginning of the year and I'm not going to slow down yet. I used a sketch from Colorful Creations for this LO.

My New Years resolution is to try to take more advantage of all the little moments. I need to not let life get so overwhelming that I don't have time when one of my little ones ask to play a game or read a book. After all "they are only young once" Here is the LO I created.

It only took a little over a year but I have finally finished scrapping our trip to Colorado last year. The boys loved the hot tub, and thought it was pretty neat that they were in water when there was snow in the ground. It's time for another challenge over at ScrapFit! Workout #58 is all about mini pictures. I love the look of using small pictures on a LO, of course since I print all my pictures out in bulk 4x6 I can't do it too often since it would mean cutting a lot of things out of the picture. But I try whenever I can. Here is the LO I created with 3 mini pictures of my daughter Autumn at the park.

That's right my challenge is to use at least 5 rings or circles on a page. You can use more as long as they are in multiples of 5. I used 25. It seems with 3 very active kids life is very chaotic and all I want is some peace! This is a LO of my oldest hanging out at the pond by our house.

Our homes are filled with laptaps, iPods, Wii's, iPads, smartphones, and numerous other gadgets. So we challenge you to share what you can't live without. I chose to do a LO about my camera. My memory is fading so I need those photos to remind me of the wonderful things in my life. And of course I need those pictures or I wouldn't be able to scrapbook.

For me, that is either circles or butterflies, so I chose to use both. I used a sketch form Stuck sketches for this LO. Austin was so excited when he finally lost his first tooth. It had been loose for quite awhile and one bite into an apple and out it came. I found out this morning after 6 weeks of challenges that I won the Last Scrapper Standing contest at Memorable Seasons. I can't believe out of all the fabulous layouts created I was chosen as the winner. This was the layout I created for the last and final challenge, and it was quite a challenge because I do not create layouts about myself.

I've been participating in Memorable Seasons Last Scrapper Standing Contest for the last several weeks and just found out this morning I made it into the top 3. It started with over 30 ladies playing along with some amazing creations. I feel quite honored to have made it this far with such a talented group of ladies. This was the LO I created for last weeks challenge of no faces, at least one color medium, and at least 2 textures other than paper. This LO was inspired by Kyoko Matsamura.

I love scrapping summer photos. Such fun bright colors to work with! This is Austin and Morgan at the beach playing in the hole they dug. I had a bit of fun with the title. I created this LO using the color challenge from Colour Q and a sketch from Stuck sketches.

Skimboarding

I was quite impressed with Austin's skimboarding. He couldn't stay on for more than a few seconds but he was actually standing on it which is more than I can say for his brother. I got good at snapping the pictures right before he fell so it looked like he was actually doing it! I created this layout for a challenge at Let's Get Peachy. They are doing a recipe challenge this month and it is quite a recipe. The layout had include the following: a punch, ink everything, fussy cutting, ribbon, bakers twine, flowers, bling, distressing, buttons, tearing, and paint. And I got it all in there!

For the Love of the Game

It is so much fun having boys that play baseball. I wish they were a bit more competitive with it but I guess I'll have to be competitive for all 3, LOL! Don't worry I'm not one of the crazy parents yelling at the umpires but I do really get into cheering at the games. I used a sketch from Stuck sketches for this. I always struggle with paper that has such a large pattern on it, so I tucked the photo behind the large pattern so both would still be visible in the layout.

It is week 4 of Memorable Seasons LSS contest. This was the toughest challenge so far but I have also been inspired by it. I wasn't sure what I would come up when I saw that we weren't allowed to use any photos on our LO but I'm quite happy with how it turned out. I used Valentines from Austin's Kindergarten party. I will probably being doing several more LO's without photos to be able to use all those little things I have saved and never bothered putting on a LO.

I was looking through my embellishments and saw these balloons I had and decided I had to make one more card for the Scrap whispers challenge. If you are in East Texas one of the biggest events around is the East Texas Balloon Races. The kids love seeing the big balloons and having fun at all the activities there. So I made this birthday card for my nephew with the balloon races in mind.

I sat down yesterday and pulled of the Lipstick Chicks layouts over at XOXO and started scraplifting. It really helped getting me to scrap a lot of photos I've been avoiding. I need to get them done before I will let myself order more, otherwise they will never get done. This was a lift of Emma Ruth's layout. Stay tuned more to come.

Wow, June has been such a crazy month. You would think with school out we would slow down some but nope, we have been on the go just and much, if not more. It has been fun but unfortunately my scrapping has suffered for it. At the beginning of the week I got a nice big box of scrappy goodies and finally found a bit of time to jump in again. I created this LO for the challenge over at Scrap Fit, Schools Out for the Summer. It felt so good to get these first day of school photos done since the year is now over :) I used a sketch from Sweet Peach Crop Shop.

The Bo Bunny Timepiece papers just seemed made for these pictures of the boys playing a game in Colorado. The colors were perfect with their sweaters and it had the rustic feel just like the cabin we were in. I used a sketch from Bo Bunny.

My stack of Halloween photos is way too large for my liking. Normally I have worked my way through them but I am finding them very uninspiring. So I've set my self a goal to finish as many of them as possible by the end of the week. I'm leaving all my fall and Halloween paper and embellishments on my desk and not touching another stack of photos until they are done. I used Karen B's layout from Design Dollies as inspiration for this LO. Stay tuned more to come.

I love finding everyday things that I can use my scrappy supplies for. It makes me feel a little less guilty about the amount of money I spend on them. Scrap Whispers posted a tutorial for how to make the cutest bows to use on all your presents. Forget those expensive ones from the store, these let you dig into your stash and the color possibilities are endless.

With Jacob's 10th birthday approaching in two weeks it feels really good to finish up the last of his birthday pictures from last year. It was a fun, hot day at the zoo last year and snow cones was a perfect way to end the day. I used a Sketchy Thursday sketch.

Scrap Whispers NSD

Well thankfully Scrap Whispers gave us a little more time to complete their challenges. They were all related around food which was a bit hard for me since I print all my pictures out at once and had very few pictures that had anything to do with food. I probably never would have focused on the food in these layouts if not for the challenges but I'm happy with the direction they took.

This challenge was to do a layout highlighting chocolate and I found these photos of Jacob with his hot chocolate on the top of Pikes Peak. There was a windchill of -9 when we were up there. Picture taking was near impossible.

This challenge was to use the title "good enough to eat" and it had to be food related. I chose to add the word "NOT" to the title to fit these photos I had of Jacob doing a competition at camp to copy a figure made out of Vienna sausages. His dog won and he got his very own can of Vienna sausages, Yuck!

Happy National Scrapbooking Day. I've been having so much fun and getting lot's of creating done. I did this layout for a challenge over at Scrap Whispers. The challenge was to use 5 patterned paper, 4 flowers, 3 embellishments, a two word title, and stitching. I also used a sketch from the scrappiest!

Sketchy Thursday is one of my favorite sketch sites. It led me over to another site and fun blog, Scrapbook Circle. I created this layout for their sketch challenge over there. We had a crazy winter this year with multiple times for the kids to go sledding. Before last year we had never had enough snow for the kids to even attempt it, so to get it again was nothing short of a miracle.

The last challenge posted for the Sweet Peach Crop Shop anniversary celebration was to use rub ons. I have a difficult time with rub ons, so I don't use them very often. This was a great chance for me to dig some of them out and use them up. The flourish, blue flower, and birds are all rub ons. I used a sketch from Sketchy Thursdays.

It is the last day of the month which means coming to the end of Sweet peach Crop Shops month long of anniversary challenges. What a fun month it has been and I have loved all the different challenges posted over there. I think there are only about 2 I haven't done and the day isn't over with yet. This challenge was to make a thank you card. I'm not a big card maker but I'm happy with it. I started off using a sketch from My Sketch World, though it didn't really end up looking anything like the sketch.

The wonderful month full of anniversary challenges is almost over at Sweet Peach Crop Shop, how sad. I've really enjoyed all of their challenges. This layout was based off of the latest sketch challenge. I decided to take a different approach to basketball pictures and stayed away from any sports lines, and instead used the For the Record collection. It definitely has a very different look from my normal sports pages.

Well inking is something I've done for quite awhile, but I'm wondering how I lived without misting. I love my mist and really need more. The challenge at Sweet Peach Crop Shop was to do a layout with misting and inking. The background paper has been misted with Maya mist and I inked just about everything including the monsters to give them a distressed look! I used a sketch from Sketch Inspiration.

I just love pictures of kids walking away from you holding hands. I wonder if it is because you can't see their faces so they can't grimace at you, or stick their tongue out, or make one of the many other faces they do every time I get the camera out. Since they are holding hands it makes it harder to run away too :) I found a new site for this great sketch at Design Dollies.

I think the kids enjoyed the dinosaurs outside of Natural Bridge Caverns more than they actually enjoyed the caves. You couldn't touch anything in the caves, where as the dinosaurs you could climb all over! I used a sketch from Sandy over at Scrap Friendzy.

I love scrapping with bright colors. It makes the layouts so cheery and fun. These pictures from the fair and from our summer trip to San Marcos worked great for the bright green. I did the Aquarena layout for a challenge at Sweet Peach Crop shop to use inking and misting. I misted the background paper and inked the edges of the circles. I used sketches from Sassy Lil' Sketches for both of these layouts.
