Sketches are a great way to help get you started on a layout. I love using sketches for my inspiration. And you don't have to alwasy search for a new sketch. You can use the same sketch as your inspiration and have it turn out completely different. Sketches can be turned, used upside down, or used as a mirror image. Several small photos can be used in replace of a larger photo and the other features of the layout moved around. I used the February sketch from My Sketch World for both of the above LO's.

2009 Progress
I have to say I've gotten a lot of scrapping done so far this year. At a few crops I have turned out 10-14 LO's in one weekend. I think I've now done about 35 LO's just in the past two months. I'm really proud of them too. None of them have been LO's I felt I just had to do to get the pictures on a page, they were all ones I thoroughly enjoyed doing. This one is one of my favorites that I have done this year. I just love the new My Minds Eye Penny Lane papers and I love this closeup photo I got of Autumn.

Scrappy Weekend
This has been one busy weekend, for scrapping that is. My Sketch World had a wonderful crop full of layout, card, and project challenges. I got about 10 layouts done and quite a few cards. Plus a few projects too. This is one of those projects. A simple office clip to showcase your photos.

I went shopping!!
Who would have thought that I would say there was something that I loved about the city of Corsicana (well except my 4 adorable nephews, and I guess my sister and BIL too :) ). But they have a wonderful LSS, Scrapping Goodtime. It was so hard to choose from all the fabulous new papers they had in. I was ready to dig into them the minute I got home. So this was my first creation using the gorgeous new Imaginisce Twitterpated. Autumn was doing one of her most favorite things to do, trying to make it impossible for me to watch tv, by pressing every possible button on the remote.

Miss Personality
Autumn actually somewhat had enough hair to wear a bow and left it in for more than 30 seconds, though not too much longer. She was being quite the ham while I was trying to get pictures of her with her bow. Check out Inspired Blueprints for their awesome new sketch. I based this LO off of it and used the goregeous new Fancy Pants Splendid line of paper for it.

Gettin Sketchy
This months new sketch is up at Gettin Sketchy. I've been trying to finish up our photos from last summer when we went to the water park and this multi photo sketch was great for that. This was the first time the boys had gone to a water park and they LOVED it. They have been begging and begging to go back again. Hopefully we will get to do it again next summer.

Superbowl weekend
I think there was some kind of football going on sometime on Sunday :) But for me it was all about the scrapping. Simply Obsessed hosted an awesome superbowl crop and in 2 days I completed 15 LO's. Didn't get much sleep, but the creative juices were flowing. Oh and I actually did watch most of the game. A little sad the Cardinals didn't win, would have been nice for a team that everyone said would lose to have won.
