Another Great Crop!!!

I always love doing crops at Memorable Seasons. It is such a fun atmosphere and I always get so much done. These are just a few of the LO's I got done. This time around I really stacked up on the cards and made a cute Valentines banner that I hung in my classroom, all the other teachers wanted to know where I had bought it from.

Not Just Photos

I'm always saving all the little things from different events, ie: ticket stubs, programs, art prjects... Unfortuneately I tend to forget that I have all these items when I go to scrap the pictures, and then find them months later. This time I actually remembered I had the program from Jacob's school play and included it in my LO. His lines for the play are also tucked behind the program. I used another great sketch of Liz's from the Scrappiest.

Make a Splash

I love this photo of Austin. He was being so brave at this pool. It had a really shallow area that he could walk without his head being anywhere near going under. He even taught himslef how to swim while there. And along with that lack of fear came lot's of jumping and cannonballs. I found this fabulous sketch over at Sketchy Thursdays!

The Magpie Club

I found a new site. I've always loved Julies sketches from 52 weeks and was saddened when the site ended but I've found she is doing sketches for many other sites. The Magpie Club is one of them. I based this LO off of the January sketch. Jacob's baseball team had their end of the year party at the local minor league teams (The Pumpjacks) game. They got to meet the players and run out on the field with them while having their name announced over the loud speaker. And of course got to meet the mascots. I loved this picture I got of Jacob and Derrick the dinosaur walking back up into the stands.

The Daily Grind

I love this picture of Jacob and his friends at the Imagination Fair for the area GT students. Jacob has loved the different things he gets to experience in GT and I think it's really helped him keep from getting bored with school. I did this LO for this weeks Scrap Whispers challenge. It is all about the journaling. This is rather easy for me because I really like to journal on my LO's. When my kids look back at these I want them to know what was going on in their lives and who was involved. I also used a fabulous sketch for this from Liz over at the Scrappiest.

Summer Fun

Is everyone craving summer the way I am. I'm not enjoying this extra cold wet winter. I don't care how hot it gets here in the summer, I still prefer it. So this had me quite excited about doing Scrap Whispers challenge this week. Using watermelon as the inspiration. Nothing seems more like summer than watermelon. This first LO I used just a hint of the green with the reddish pink colors.

Then while skimming though my pictures I found these from our trip to Conroe. Atumn was wearing last years watermelon line fromGymboree (one of my favorites). Between the outfit and the green of the mini golf course it was screaming for this challenge, so I had to do 2 more Lo's.

May The Force Be With You

The boys are big time into Star Wars. So of course that is what they wanted to be for Halloween. The hardest part was deciding who would be who. I bribed Austin by buying him a red lightsaber, so he immediately agreed to be Darth Vader. Autumn was happy to go with the flow, so for at least one more year we were able to do themed costumes. I used a sketch from a new site I found Sketchy Thursdays. This sketch was a little out of my norm but I really enjoyed doing it.

Surfer Girl

I'm in the mist of lots and lots of beach photos. It really is making me long for some warm weather. Our weather around here has been way below normal and I'm not enjoying it. If it's going to be freezing out we should at least get some snow, but alas no snow :(

This is Autumn attempting to lay on a kick board while the waves were hitting her down in Galveston this past summer. It was not going well, but she didn't give up. I created this LO for this weeks Scrap Whispers Challenge. I'm not big on color challenges and found this one even harder since I don't use purple to often.

The Scrappiest sketch

I really loved the sketch this past week over at the scrappiest blog. I've been saving this Bo Bunny paper knowing how great it would work out for my Halloween photos. The colors are so bright they match our fabulous fall weather here in TX.

Happy New Year

I've been neglecting my blog, but it's a new year and time to start anew! As with keeping up with my blog I'm also setting myself a goal of a page a day. There is no way I can actually do a page a day, but I'm aiming for a total of 365 LO's to try to stay on top of my mounting picture load. I certainly have enough pictures for that, especially since we just got back from Disney a month ago. I'm at 6 Lo's now and putting quite a dent in my halloween photos, so lets keep it up. This should be eiasier to achieve than the exercise goals I usually set for myself :)
