Don't be scared when a line of paper seems too themed. This is the Simple Stories Destination line which is mostly related to travel. But I found that the papers and quotes worked great for this picture of my son and husband about to take off on the bobsled ride at Six Flags. Lines of paper can be very versatile. I used a sketch from StuckOnUSketches for this page.

School Time
It is so hard to believe Austin is already in first grade and is actually getting close to being out of it. I was reading him the lines from the Star Wars movie when they were speaking an alien language and he said "I can read it". They grow up too fast! I used a sketch from Scrap Whispers for this layout.

This month Tammi at My Scraps and More sent me the Clementine papers from Cosmo Cricket. I found these papers very versatile. I was able to use them for both boy and girl pages, as well as Valentines Day and just some wonderful spring days.

Surfs Up
Houston's Childrens Museum is such a fun place for kids to explore. Autumn seemed to really enjoy trying to watch herself surf on the big screen. I say trying because it took a lot of concentration for her to stay on the board. This LO was for a color challenge at Scrap Whispers.
Dear Santa
I have had a bunch of pretty Christmas papers and yet I haven't printed any of my Christmas photos so I went digging for old photos I hadn't done yet. This was from 2010 when the kids went to see Santa. I used a sketch from Colorful Creations.

"Get Your Game On" Blog Hop
Welcome to Scrap-Friendzy's "Get Your Game On" blog
hop!! I'm so excited to be bringing you inspiration along with the rest of the fabulous design team members! The hop runs from now until
midnight (CST) February 5th.
But this is not your average Blog Hop! We're gonna throw in a little extra fun with a Touchdown Challenge! At every stop on the hop, you will be given a special "ingredient" from each DT Member. Your Challenge is to take any 6 of the "ingredients" and complete any ONE project of your choice!! If you are feeling confident and think you can make that extra point, use 7 of the ingredients and you will get 2 draws. Simply upload your project in the Gallery and link it back to the "Get Your Game on" blog hop thread in the forum to be eligible for the Grand Prize AND earn 25 bonus Friendz Pointz in the month of February!
Don't forget: This BLOG HOP is just the beginning and there will be challenges all through the month of February for your chance to be our next Girlfriend of the Month!!
Now I'm not going to lie and say I'm a huge football fan. In fact until recently I didn't even know who was playing. I will watch some of the game and route for whoever seems to be doing better :) I do know now that the New England Patriots are playing against the New York Giants. It seems only fitting to stay with the "New" theme. So I created this LO of my daughter holding a rescued opossum, entitled "a new friend".

Now for my ingredient. I want to see mist or paint on your LO. I have used mist on some Pink Paislee mistable ribbon on my LO. Can't wait to see what you create. Remember to link your LO up to this thread in the forum after you have collected all your ingredients and chosen your 6 or 7 to use.
Of course that is not it. As well as the main prize, I'm offering up a RAK right here. Simply follow my blog if you are not already and leave a comment below by the February 5th deadline and you will be entered to win. Now how easy is that!
