It is so sad to think of summer ending.  But with the kids going back to school today, even thought it is still 105 degrees out, for us summer is over.  So it's time to bid farewell to summer and what better way is there to do that than by scrapping.

Morgan and Autumn are so adorable together.  He does at times find his little cousin annoying especially when he wants to be around girls but for the most part is very tolerant of her annoying little habits.  I used a sketch from Twisted sketches.

Scrap Friendzy DT call

We are having a DT Call!! Scrap-friendzy is such a fun, active place to hang out and we are always having a blast, so if you'd like to join our team- here's your chance!!

Scrap-Friendzy is a challenge based site with a laid-back, friendly environment where everyone is welcome! We focus on inspiring and encouraging our members, as well as, teaching new techniques to take our scrapbooking & paper crafting to the next level!

If you are a kind, energetic paper crafter that enjoys inspiring, encouraging and educating others in our craft, then this might be the perfect place for you!

Chosen DT members will be responsible for daily posting on the message board, creating 2 challenges per month for our members, as well as participating in the challenges created by other design team members, promoting, organizing and hosting events throughout their term. You will also be asked to promote the sale of our monthly kit. We will, in return, promote your work, blog, etc through our site, blog and facebook page. You will also receive one free kit during your term, as well as, discounted kits throughout your term.


The call runs Monday, August 1st through Sunday, August 21st.
This call is for a 6th month term beginning September 1st through February 29th.

Workout #50

That's right another workout challenge is up at ScrapFit.  This challenge is entitled "be inspired by a book"  So take your inspiration from this book cover and see what you can come up with.

  

I used the colors as my inspiration for this page of Autumn being her goofy self while I was trying to get a good picture before taking her to school for her Easter egg hunt.

Summer fun

I've recently found a new site with some great sketches, Frosted Designs.  I created this LO from one of their sketches.  It was great having the kids cousin Morgan along with us at Galveston.  He did a great job entertaining Autumn for me so I could sit back and relax.

I've found I can't stop snapping photos of Autumn.  I take a lot of the boys too but not quite as many, they just don't show the personality that she does.  I used another sketch from the Scrappiest for this LO.  We were also challenges over at Frosted Designs to use and animal on our LO.  I put several butterflies on here that I cut out of patterned paper.
